Is the Anime different than the Manga? If it's different, are there any special chapters of the manga, where I can find important informations about the characters? 'Cause sometimes, there are Pictures of the Manga in the Articles and sometimes there are some of the Anime. I don't know if theres a difference between both. Pls help, hx... --Seyzor

I also have this question ^ Could someone help us out? I would greatly appreciate it ^_^ I Turn the Music Up, I Got My Records On I Shut the World Outside Until the Lights Come On 21:34, November 11, 2011 (UTC)

The anime is quite different from the manga. Episode 1 to 37 is right except for some minor details missing but other than that it's spot on. After that the anime goes off.

Differences between the anime from the manga:

J.B. was called to investigate and to scout out the mole, but in the anime he is just there to help with the demon tools and he was never killed unlike in the manga. Justin Law never went over to the dark side as the anime never got to that far. If you hadn't noticed but in episode 36 where he battles Giriko, he never got the scratch that was on his face unlike in the manga where it was clearly shown. However he later got the scratch when they battle again later.

Blair was later shown to help J.B. with the demon tools plus Risa and that other girl as well. Giriko was never asleep during the battle at the Arachnophobia. He was shown to once again fight Justin in where unlike the manga Justin was suppose to lead him to Noah's side. Medusa never got another body unlike in the manga where she was suppose to. Plus when she left Rachel's body it was by her own will, not by Maka's anti-demon wave thing. Asura was not suppose to die until later on. Plus he was suppose to be on the moon the entire time unlike where in the anime he is shown to be on an mountain top and in Arachnophobia headquarter. Arachne was suppose to be killed by Maka not Asura himself. He also devoured her soul in where Soul was suppose to be the one who eats it. Tezca Tlipoca and his meister Enrique was never shown despite the fact that they were clearly there along with the team during the battle in the manga. Crona never shown up during the battle nor does he/she joined the battle. In the anime however he/she joined up with Maka to fight against Medusa. Marie's relationship with J.B. was really mentioned at all nor do they seem to show any feelings at all. Noah was never shown despite the fact that he was clearly there during the battle in the manga. Mosquito was never shown to have died by the hands of Noah unlike in the manga where he was. The clowns were shown to have an different role in the anime in where they protect the demon tool to help function Brew unlike where in the manga they were suppose to spread madness throughout the world. The battle with the clown vs. Maka never happened nor does the battle against Blair vs. the flying Dutchman occurred in the anime unlike in the manga. It's possible that they skipped that. Marie and Stein were never present during the battle against Arachnophobia however in the anime they were. The battle against Asura against Death and Spirit never occurred in the manga unlike in the anime.

Kid used sanzu lines against Mosquito in the manga unlike in where the anime shown him to be using it against Asura.

Kim and Jacqueline never switched sides. Plus it was not really mentioned about her being a witch anywhere in the anime.

Mifune never died and he was shown to be joining on the good side. Plus unlike the manga where his soul was worth 99 souls, it was never mentioned in the anime.

Blackstar never got the scar that was on his shoulders as the anime never got that far.

Maka was shown to be able to produce blades from her body despite the fact that it was never shown in the manga. However she could do that later in the manga. The battle against Arachne vs. Maka and Soul was never shown nor did they show the ability of Black Blood.

Little Ogre is shown to have be "eaten" by Soul and believed to be dead in where the manga shows that he is in fact still alive.

Kirikou never battled against the clown thing that was in chapter 53 and 54. He and the rest of the gang was shown to be together during the last few moments.

Death City was shown to have been turned into a battle robot in where the manga does not nor does the Arachnophobia headquarter suppose to either.

I think that's all the differences not sure if I got them all, but if you read the manga carefully and over again you can spot the differences between them. ^^;

Well to find important info on characters are not too hard. There aren't any special chapters in Soul Eater that I recall. However if you read Soul Eater Not! there might be some important info about the characters plus you get to learn more about the school and how the characters all started. There isn't much chapters on Soul Eater Not!, but I think you can get some more info on the characters.

Hopes this helps you. ^^ --Rcybs 05:41, November 15, 2011 (UTC)

Pros and cons?[]

Really? We have a section detailing what select individuals think of something through no citations whatsoever? That is one of the most pretentious, biased things that can possibly be on a wiki. I say there's no need for such a section. If people just want to list the differences, that's fine, but I see no need for anything such as what people like or hate about something without sources. That and it clutters the page. Immblueversion 14:16, November 4, 2011 (UTC)

where is the information concerning the third season coming from? "Beware the Jabberwokk my son; The jaws that bite, the claws that scratch." 17:12, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

  • Given that we haven't even had a second season definitely confirmed, I've removed it. If someone can find a proper source to say that there will be one, then they can easily add it back in. nayayen★talk 19:43, April 7, 2012 (UTC)

I personally like how the anime over the manga in general. FinnXMarcy (talk) 01:47, April 4, 2014 (UTC)
