Media Factory (メディアファクトリー Mediafakutorī), formerly Media Factory, Inc. (株式会社メディアファクトリー Kabushiki gaisha Mediafakutorī) is a Japanese publisher and brand company of Kadokawa Corporation and a subsidiary of Recruit Co., Ltd. Its headquarters are in Shibuya, Tokyo. It is publisher, brand company, and foreign distributor for the anime Soul Eater. Its corporate parent Kadokawa publishs, brands, and distributes the anime Soul Eater NOT!


Media Factory was founded on December 1, 1986.

On October 12, 2011, Media Factory merged with eight other companies when purchased by Kadokawa Corporation for ¥8,000,000,000.[1][2].


Media Factory also has a monthly manga magazine, Monthly Comic Alive, and its own light novel imprint, MF Bunko J. It also publishes Comic Flapper and Monthly Comic Gene.


In addition to Soul Eater Media Factory has distributed numerous anime to Funimation, including Baka and Test, Highschool DxD, and School Rumble. Media Factory also holds the license for the distribution of The 39 Clues in Japan.[3]

Media Factory was formerly the distributor for the anime Pokemon.
