A demon tool (魔道具, Madougu) is an item that demonstrates supernatural powers from the magical power with which it has been infused.[1]
History[]
Around the 1200s, the Witch Order once owned the Demon Tool Development Facility made specifically to create demon tools ran by the then-order member, Arachne Gorgon, who specialized in making demon tools. Eventually, the facility was destroyed by Arachne in a large magical explosion in an attempt to hide "BREW"'s location and injure Death, resulting in the magnetic field on the island.[2] In the 2000s, after the reemergence of Arachnophobia, the organization began delving deeper into demon tool research from Arachnophobia's Demon Tool Development Lab.[1]
Overview[]
Throughout history, various demon tools were manufactured for specific purposes, however in the eyes of the Death Weapon Meister Academy, the creation of most demon tools were seen as evil objects; to this end, the academy both destroys demon tools and collects them to keep them from falling into the wrong hands.[1] Conversely, the DWMA also manufactures their own demon tools, although those made by the academy do not serve any malicious or offensive purposes.[3]
