Death's Family

Template:Organization (Clan/Family)

Death's Family is a powerful and immensely wealthy family[1] that resides in Death City.[2] Consisting only of Shinigamis, only two out of the three members of the family are actually known.[2][3]

Overview

Influence

As seen with Death the Kid's status, this family seems to be highly influential and especially well-known within DWMA, Death City, and even the entire world. It is known that this family is extremely rich, as Liz Thompson and Patty Thompson conspired to be his Weapon partners to take advantage of this wealth.[1] Even E.A.T DWMA student Soul Eater comments to Death the Kid about his rich status, mentioning Kid riding on his parent's coattails and how he wishes he was as lucky,[4] despite coming from a rich and wealthy background himself.

Prior to attending DWMA schooling system, Kid himself was still considered a member of the organization, known as an important member (called a V.I.P in the anime).[5] Despite being a one-star meister at the time, his status allows him to even checkout Level 4 Books, something that only high-level ranking Meisters and Death Scythes are allowed.[6]

Power

Out of all the various families, Death's Family stands out as the most powerful in terms of it's influence and each of it's member's individual power. While already being Shinigamis, both Death and Asura were formerly on the team known as The Eight Warlords[7] and are known as Great Old Ones. Death the Kid is credited as one of the three top performing Meisters in DWMA[8] and later ascends to a true Shinigami,[9] the size of his soul nearing the size of his late father, and eventually became the new Headmaster of DWMA.[10]

Members of Death's Family

Name Rank Status
Death Head Deceased
Death the Kid Head Active
Asura Unknown ???

Note:In the anime, Death is alive and considered the head while Kid is known as simply a "Member". While Asura is known to be a son of Death himself, it is unknown how he is considered in Death's Family
